The bathtub model has often been cited as a hazard rate profile that predicts not only human mortality but also the of manufactured products. This article examines inapplicability to predict electronic components, products, and systems. reviews various literature uses numerous experiments field failure data support its argument. factors affecting electronics are then discussed, common trends for identified, recommendations assessment rates given. recommends preconceived over time should be used.
